Icilda Wellington, aka Ms. Betty age 78 years old, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2023. Icilda Meeks was born in Clarendon, Jamaica West Indies on July 26, 1945, to the late Vinelda Daley and James Meeks. She migrated to New Rochelle, New York in 1993 with her husband and her four youngest children. Years later she was joined by her four oldest children. Icilda worked as a home health aide until 2010. Icilda was married to the late Lloyd Wellington in 1981. Together the union produced eight children, one daughter and seven sons. She had twelve grandsons (one of whom predeceased her), three granddaughters and one great granddaughter. Icilda is survived by her eight children, fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, sisters, brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends. Memories of Icilda will live on in our hearts. May her soul rest in peace.
