Many years ago I had the pleasure of working with Jackie at Century 21 real estate in New Milford, CT. He served as a mentor for me in the real estate business. His good nature and fun loving personality made the job fun. He was always ready to lend a hand to a novice realtor.
As Wordsworth wrote many years ago in his Itimations of Immortality, Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower, we will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind...
I hope all those who love Jackie will find strength in their memories. At his passing we all do well to remember and celebrate his life in our own ways. I am happy to have known him.
Jackie was a next door neighbor and friend for many years growing up in Mt. Vernon. He brought me into the volunteer fire department back in 1964 and from there I went on to the paid department in Pelham Manor. We shared lots of good times and laughter through the years and I remember his wedding to his wife Stella. He surely will be in my prayers as he was definitely a good guy, a good friend and will be missed by those that knew him, especially for his good humor and willingness to help others. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again in Paradise.
